Let's Get Outside! Natural Explorations for Youth and Families
Why do some ducks dive and others do "heads down, butts up"? What's all this orange, green, and gray stuff on the rocks? Did you hear that?! What was it? Give a child in your life the opportunity to ask questions and find answers as we explore the woods and rocks around the Grand Marais Harbor. Using binoculars, hand lenses, and sketch books, we'll spend the morning at various locations within walking distance, discovering as we go. Binoculars provided, or bring your own if you prefer. Bring a favorite sketchbook or buy a blank book for a nominal fee. Bring a backpack, pencils, (optional colored pencils), water, snack, and clothing layers and raincoat for any kind of weather. Parents, grandparents and guardians welcome to join along at a special intergenerational rate.
