Don Grant

Don has been an energy efficiency nut for almost 40 years. An engineer by training, he and his wife, Gerry, built a passive solar collector on their home in the early 80s. They are now in the process of building a near-net-zero energy home near Grand Marais. Don is the owner of North Shore Sustainable Energy, a company focused on helping North Shore residents and businesses reduce energy consumption through conservation and use of renewable energy sources. He is also a member of the Cook County Local Energy Project Board of Directors – a group focused on facilitating energy efficiency in Cook County.
