Set sail on Lake Superior aboard North House schooner Hjørdis - a 50' traditionally rigged schooner.  Her classic lines, striking colors and double-gaff rigged sails are an iconic presence on the Grand Marais harbor. Even better than watching her from the shore is spending time aboard out on the water!

The Hjørdis will be active on the Grand Marais harbor from late May through early October.  The boat is used for both daily sailing excursions and for single and multi-day sailing courses.  Follow the links below to learn more!

Daily Sailing
For each of the following, please CALL for reservations - (218) 387-9762 or toll-free at (888) 387-9762 - six passenger maximum.

* Lake Superior Schooner Outings
   - departing most days at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm
* Sunset Over The Sawtooths Sail
   - available most evenings late June through early September
* Polar Express
   - early-season sailing at a discount (late May thru mid June)
* Superior Full Moon Sails
   - scheduled each lunar cycle for three evenings

Sailing Courses
North House's array of sailing classes include topics ranging from navigation to ropework, basic sailing to multi-day sail training trips to the Apostle Islands and Isle Royale.  To learn more visit the listing of sailing courses by title.
