Family & Intergenerational
Learning Weekend

 October 20-23, 2011

Make the most of school break!
Bring the whole family to North House for our first Family & Intergenerational Learning Weekend. In celebration of the joy of learning together, we are offering a variety of classic North House coursework designed especially for families.

You’ll find everything from felting to mosaics, birding to baskets, dancing to knitting. Schedules are designed to allow families time to enjoy all the North Shore has to offer over the weekend, with a variety of one day and half day options. All courses feature an intergenerational tuition rate, in which the adult pays full price, and each child pays 75% of the full tuition. Ages vary for each course; see descriptions for specific ages.

It's an inspiring opportunity for families to learn together. Plans also include an evening film screening, wood-fired pizza potluck and family and contra dance with string band Over the Waterfall in the evenings.

Weekend Highlights
* 15 courses ranging from mittens to bread baking (see below)

* Family film screening on Fri, October 21 at 7 pm (free)
* Community contra dance on Sat, October 22 at 7 pm ($5/person or $10/family
   suggested donation)
