Service Learning Weekend
April 19-21, 2013

Learn a new skill and leave a legacy!
Help make North House a better place to be a student.  

BUILD IT, SPLIT IT, FIRE IT!
Join our band of volunteers by helping to build an extension onto the wood shed, fill it with newly split wood, and then celebrate our community with a pizza bake using the wood-fired oven. Other jobs include getting the garden ready for spring, moving the boats out to the harbor, and making a few repairs on the commons area will be available depending on the weather and your personal inclination.

SERVICE LEARNING COURSES:

A great way to learn new skills while also helping North House is by participating in any of the Service Learning courses are featured April 18-21, 2013:

- Timbered 'Red' Entryway: Handcut Joinery Service Learning Project
- Tools for the Shop: Service Learning in the Blacksmith Shop

VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
Volunteer projects will take place April 20 (all day) and April 21 (half day OR all day if weather slowed us down Saturday). Plan on being part of a pizza potluck lunch! Watch this space for more information, or e-mail our Volunteer Coordinator Kelly at kdupre@northhouse.org
