Service Learning Weekend
Learn a new skill and leave a legacy!
Help make North House a better place to be a student.
Roof, Refinish, Refresh!
It takes many hands to make a folk school, and our Volunteer &
Service Learning Weekend is your chance to pitch in. Journey North
April 18-19 and help us air out
campus after a long winter. Options include taking part in volunteer
projects outlined below, or taking a reduced tuition-rate Service
Learning Course making Adirondack Chairs for campus or Hooks &
Hangers in the Blacksmith Shop.
Here’s to the first sign of spring – airing out the House!
SERVICE LEARNING COURSES:
A great way to learn new skills while also helping North House is by
participating in any of the Service Learning courses during the
Adirondack Chair Building: Service Learning Project
Hooks & Hangers for Campus: Service Learning in the Blacksmith Shop
Volunteer projects will take place April
18 and 19. We’ll hit the ground running
on Friday with projects of all sizes
– from building shed roofs, to refinishing picnic tables, to
cleaning out the cobwebs from all corners of campus. Lunch will be
Saturday, as well as a pizza potluck
to close out the weekend
on Saturday evening. Please RSVP
with Volunteer Coordinator Matt at
email@example.com or call
218.387.9762 by Friday, April 4.
