Cooking With Woks

Course Overview

Woks are amazing tools that can accomplish a wide range of cooking tasks. One can stir-fry, deep-fry, pan-fry, boil, steam, braise, stew, sear, poach, and smoke. Learning to cook with woks is a great skill to have whether for the home cook, camper, or homesteader. A variety of fuel sources can be used for cooking, from kindling to charcoal to gas. We will cook with all of the above methods using the three mentioned fuel sources. We’ll be enjoying the fruits of our labor throughout the class dining on each dish. Students will leave with new skills and knowledge of affordable sourcing for woks and related utensils to get started at home.
