Bruce became a member of the Blue Earth Royal Chiselers Woodcarving Club in 1982 after attending a large show in the school auditorium that included carving displays from area carvers. Early on he developed an interest in carving caricatures because they always brought a smile to those who saw them.  After working in the family business for 47 years, Bruce retired from their furniture business in December 2021 and is now enjoying the freedom that he has to spend more time carving in his workshop. Bruce was recently inducted into the Caricature Carvers of America (CCA) at the 2023 Carvin’ the Rockies event in Colorado Springs, CO.
