Course Overview

Calling all storytellers! Dive into the rich world of folktales. Do you enjoy old-fashioned stories, and do you ever imagine what the characters and places they tell about look like? We will share a great folktale and then let our imaginations run wild to create elements from the story. Each parent/child pair will unleash their creativity using fabric, wool, leather, wood, and more to bring the people, places and creatures in our story to life. At the end of class we will come together to retell the story using our creations. This course welcomes up to two students ages 5-10 accompanied by an adult.

Required Tools

  • Please bring beads with larger holes, ribbons, buttons, yarn or fabric scraps, and any crafting supplies you like to incorporate into your projects. We will have some available, but the more we can all share, the better!
