Course Overview

Mabon, the celebration of the autumnal equinox, reminds us to reconnect and remember our true wild natures as we shift into autumn season and align with the earth element. Join herbalist Gigi Stafne as she weaves in traditional northern medicine wisdom with new ways to align with the earth. In doing so, students will improve their state of balance, health, and happiness. In this class we will cover significant autumn northern traditions and celebrations, explore the world of taste, foods, herbs, essences, colors and sounds; experiment with herb formulations and applications to help prepare for winter; and discuss how to better align with nature, creating lifestyle changes from work to play. Learn to create teas, tinctures, and more with autumn roots, barks, and berries. On a collective level, these practices may help humanity heal while living lightly on this precious planet.
