Kids’ Courses

Old-Fashioned Minnesota Kids Games

Course Overview

Join in for a day of good old-fashioned fun. Children will play games from pioneer times in Minnesota- games that early settlers like Laura Ingalls Wilder really played. We will also play traditional Ojibwe games that go back many generations. We’ll play pickup sticks, hide the bone, the moccasin game, the key game and more. Some games are sit-down games and require strategy and keen observation of your opponent. Other games are large muscle games involving some quick movement and a little bit of running. No prior knowledge of games needed. We’ll all learn together and play to our heart’s content. Kids ages 6-12 are welcome.
