Course Overview

Making vessels, bowls, hats or slippers; anything with a hollow center is based on the same technique of wet felting flat around a resist. Beginning with a simple vessel we will make a small luminary to learn the basics of laying out wool, wool choices, thinking about shrinkage and design. We will continue with more challenging projects of your choice. Depending upon what you make there will be time for more than one main project. Students age 16+ may sign up for this course. Age 12+ may sign up with an adult.

Material fee varies depending upon projects chosen. Base fee of $20 plus additional wool for projects approximately $20-40. You are welcome to bring materials from home.  

Required Tools

  • Two large towels
  • A plastic bag to carry your things home
