Jordan has been serious about blacksmithing since 2010, though he has had several blacksmithing experiences prior to that date, including a coursework at Penland School of Crafts and a year-long apprenticeship under Yaw Owusu Shangofemi. In 2010, Jordan acquired his own shop and has forged nearly every day since. He has been a fulltime blacksmith since 2018, doing primarily commission work, though he now has a teaching studio as well. His work reflects the desires of his clients combined with his artistic vision. Blacksmithing is his passion and journey in life.
