Lisa Golden Schroeder is a Paris-trained cook and teacher, food writer, and a long-time food stylist for commercial photography. She writes food stories and develops recipes for home cooks, cheerleading for following all roads back to the kitchen. Her infectious enthusiasm for gardening and making the most of what’s in season leads her to pickling, fermenting, and preserving whatever she can get her hands on. She’s also a co-author of Untamed Mushrooms: From Field to Table with wild mushroom expert Michael Karns. Her passion for Northwoods hikes (her family has a log cabin up the Gunflint Trail) are now strategic, stalking wild mushrooms armed with her fungi knowledge garnered through that friendship and collaboration.
